when i heard the alarm clock this morning, my first thought was, "what an annoying sound! how am i supposed to sleep through that?"
If adverbs are used well, I never notice them. If they paradoxically and abruptly appear unceremoniously, I rapidly begin to get increasingly annoyed parenthetically.
